DS1 Dual Shot Camera Mount System

GoPro Grip

The Dual Shot (DS1) is a camera mount that houses both a GoPro and practically any DSLR camera. Currently seeking funding on IndieGoGo, the DS1 features a detachable three-axis stabilizer with a rechargeable battery that can be mounted to bike helmets or any other mount, a DSLR camera style mounting bracket which is adjustable to move forward and backwards, and a tilt control button for GoPro. The GoPro stabilizer charges the camera while attached. “Editing and shooting action sports in particular becomes a lot easier when combining cuts from a close up to a wide shot in the middle of action” explains Anthony Panayotaros, Dual Shot creator. “Filming weddings, sports, personal home videos becomes cinematic when combining wide shots and close ups as it’s actually happening… Creating your own movies is so much easier and fun to edit with the DS1.” Interested readers are encouraged to visit the project’s IndieGoGo page.

The Dual Shot – The World’s First Two Camera Mount System

Combine any DSLR to your GoPro and take wide shots and close-ups at the same time

Manhattan Beach, CA. January 27, 2016 – The Dual Shot (DS1) is a camera mount that houses both a GoPro and any DSLR camera. The DS1 makes it easy to use the longer zoom capability of the DSLR camera while the top camera, which is supported by a battery powered stabilizer and designed specifically for the GoPro 3 or 4, captures wide shots. This innovative design was created as a simpler way to make videos more cinematic.

Some key features integrated into the design of the DS1 include a detachable three-axis stabilizer with a rechargeable battery that can be mounted to bike helmets or any other mount, a DSLR camera style mounting bracket which is adjustable to move forward and backwards, and a tilt control button for GoPro. The GoPro stabilizer charges it while attached, the DS1 also includes mounts for lights and microphones, and it is attachable to any shoulder mount or tripod.

“Editing and shooting action sports in particular becomes a lot easier when combining cuts from a close up to a wide shot in the middle of action. Filming weddings, sports, personal home videos becomes cinematic when combining wide shots and close ups as it’s actually happening. As you know there isn’t any resetting when shooting live subjects. Creating your own movies is so much easier and fun to edit with the DS1.” explains Anthony Panayotaros, Dual Shot creator.

Anthony Panayotaros came up with the concept for the Dual Shot over a year ago. He has a background is in film, producing, directing, and camera operating. Originally, he created the Dual Shot only for use on his personal projects. After the design attracted a lot of interest from passersby while he was shooting, he decided to take it to the next level. He’s working with Henning Product Development to manufacture the prototype.

Panayotaros has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds to cover the cost of finalizing the prototype, testing and going into mass production of the Dual Shot. It will be available for pre-order at a special early bird discount price until March 9, 2016.
