BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY is a contemporary art fair that presents collective and solo projects by leading and emerging international artists.
The 2nd edition represents a forum for the direct exchange of ideas and contacts between collectors, artists, photographers, designers, and art professionals. The art fair features paintings, sculptures, photography art, installations, video art, and live performance.
Among all the selected artists for this exhibition you can see the name of an Iranian artist Arezou Ramezani who is a visual artist and animator.
“Aberration of Inner Child” is her glitch animation video art which has been exhibited for the first time in “Platform 101” Glitch: Pixel language group exhibition at Bavan Gallery in Tehran, Iran.
In this video, Art Ramezani used glitch animation to demonstrate the subject of lost and weary souls in today’s world and the memories that can be continuously edited, constructed, and reconstructed that have left us but we still cling onto.
Her work deploys a dreamy world and shows the thug-o-war within oneself to go from the dark side to the bright side, trying to stay aware while being surrounded by too many noises and parasites.
BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY 2021 analyses the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban settings in contemporary time, through two main sections: MIXING IDENTITIES and FUTURE LANDSCAPES.
BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY, organized by ITSLIQUID Group, will be held in Barcelona, at Valid World Hall Gallery from June 24 to July 11, 2021.
