According to the Iranian Painters Association, Parvaneh Etemadi, a prominent Iranian painter, passed away at 77.
During high school, she was a student of Jalal Al-e-Ahmad, who, recognizing her talent in painting, introduced her to Bahman Mohasses to learn the art under his guidance.
Etemadi is best known for her still-life paintings, particularly her cement paintings from the 1970s. She held her first exhibition in 1969 at the Gandriz Gallery.
In the 1970s, she established her own painting classes under the name “Studio Parvaneh,” which remained active for 25 years. She had a unique teaching approach and contributed to training a new generation of Iranian artists.
E’temadi held numerous solo and group exhibitions in cities such as Basel (Switzerland), Beijing, Paris, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and New Delhi.4o
